After getting hooked on horses at a young age at a Hunter/Jumper barn for kids, Melissa was introduced to Arabians in middle school after her family moved. She rode a grey Country English mare, OSF Shesan at Old Stage Farm and joined their 4-H club.
A graduate in Industrial Science with a concentration in Equine Husbandry, Melissa managed Palmetto Arabians for 13 years. She bred, raised and trained her own horse, Splash Dance Kid MJ to a Sport Horse National Championship in Training Level in 2016.
